George Bush should be blamed for that slow response as he is the same person who wants the praise for 'saving' America against all the so called terrorism. I just hope the American people vote in future with a view to what terrible and greedy ways their president has orchestrated a war in Iraq and the lack of help and aid he's given to his own people back 'home'.
it seems many of those hit by the storm are making links between Katrina and Iraq, so if we are turning our thoughts to them, we might start by taking their protests seriously.
Obviously, the weather can't be connected to foreign policy, but the response to bad weather can. It's appearing increasingly clear that work on flood protection was skimped because the money had been diverted to Iraq policy. And thousands of Louisiana National Guardsmen couldn't help after the storm because they too were in Iraq. So there is a connection to be made. If Bush was less interested in poor blacks at home (probably Democrat voters) than in Iraqis, that seems a fit subject for comment.
