in which the subject of receipts has arisen. Can anyone tell us if it is against the law not to give a receipt. The shop that did not give the receipt was Greggs. I was of the opinion that a large concern like this would give receipts automatically but . . .?

mamalynne - the perforations were not 'out' ... the top layer had become unrolled an extra time and the bottom stayed the same - so they didnt line up...that hapens when you unravel them sometimes...

you just take the top ply only and unroll it once... and the perforations will line up again...
re the pasty - regardless of the cost - if something claims to be something, you are entitled to expect it to be it - at the very least..otherwise call it something else

a steak pasty should contain steak....
Excuse me but if I pay for top brand loo rolls I expect perfect perforations and the first three rolls were the same, I complained (pointed it out) and got a satisfactory result, job done!! (pardon the pun)
mamalynne...read what i said...the perforations are perfect...its just the top ply getting flipped over an extra time, which makes them out of sync...

they will match if you flip the top layer over again..

try it with a roll...flip the top layer over an you will see how they mismatch easily
