I recently signed a short term assured tenancy agreement for 6 mths and paid the 6 mths rent in advance. Is there any way i can cancel this and would i get my money back.

I doubt it. There should be something in your contract about exiting the property early.

no, it's a contract. You need to speak tot he LL to ask wehat they say - they might be able to get someone else in
