Hi..I have a mile-stone birthday coming up. Really starting to wonder where time has gone. Anyone else feel like that when they go into a new decade?

If you feel like that, it's called a MILL-STONE birthday!
Oh yes, definitely this year. I am the big (whisper it...) 5-0 later this year.
30 did not bother me in the least - I loved my 30's on the whole.
40 didn't bother me - even though some of my most traumatic times have been in my 40's.
But 50? Scares the f*** out of me. And not only that, I become a grandmother in July. Does that mean I have to start behaving? Nah.......

I am grateful to have made it to my 50's. I want many many more years yet. But for the first time in my life I feel I am getting old and it is indeed frightening how quick half a century (!) has gone.
Salla - just make sure you have a bl--dy good shag on your big Hawaii-O, preferably with a young 30 something stud, if not your better half.

And you will feel much better - "50s the age of new sex."
naaah, denial is a wonderful thing! Whatever my hairline is trying to tell me, I'm putting my fingers in my ears and singing laaalaaaaalaaaa!
What a good idea, DT crossword. Does salla need young male volunteers in their 30s? If so I kindly offer.
I do to midcomp - only my 18th though . . .
What a wonderful suggestion DT - I may just do that. I have just a person in mind(!)

Mind you, my rule has always been - no-one any younger than my son. And he's 28. So that is cutting it a bit fine. Still, it will boost my morale.

HRT - bring it on!!!!
i'm 40 next year and i found some grey hairs, i feel pants :-(
I do wonder where the time goes. It doesn't seem that long ago that my mum was the age Im at now - man she was sooo old! And here I am, 38. 40 is looming... I can't say it bothers me but my OH has joked at how I'll be a pensioner before I know it.

Last laugh's on me though, I can retire 12 years before he can and fair play, I might reach 60 before he does, but he'll be the 53 yr old dude dating a pensioner! :p
You've found some grey hairs in your pants mcfluff? Or you are feeling inside your pants?
Mccfluff - you've only just found grey hairs? I've been finding them since last year - when I was 26 :o(
lol at my temples, i'm dyeing my hair this weekend
I got a whole new life in my 50s, fabulous time of life.
50's are great salla and being a Nana means you can act as daft as you like, the kids love it :o)
I have always felt old before my time
became a mum at 19
then eight years ago met mr zzxxee (finally found my soul mate in my early 30s)
he is 42 and a grandad of three !!! so at 38 i have 3 step grand kids !!!!!!!!!!!!
Count me in on your "birthday celebration", sallabananas. I am 38 years old, and was "done" some years ago. I need to be totally sure the operation was a complete success though.
