1911 census question
I have found some relatives on the 1911 census - and have viewed the transcript - but am a little confused. This is the link for the transcipt:
http://www.1911census...22/3.ASPX?x=352153434
It lists mother and father (Emma and Thomas Hawkins) and children Elizabeth and Charles with their ages .... but also lists 2 daughters as 0 years old in 1911 - so i understand they are less than one. I have been told there are twins in this part of the famiy and that neither lived long - but have looked for births for the preceeding 12 months and can't identify them - why could they not be names on the 1911?? Is there anything else on the original record that anyone can look at for me? (I am out of credits now and finding the 1911 site too expensive) Can anyone find the births of these twin girls - and possibly their deaths? Mother's maiden name was Mason and they were always (for this whole generation anyway) in Walsall, Staffordshire. TIA

Logically:
the two daughters could be the twins, yes
maybe they weren't registered
Maybe they were but the name got corrupted through poor handwriting or careless transcription
As an example I've seen the placename of Sandy, Bedfordshire, transcribed as Landy. You'd never find it on a search.if you weren't expecting it.
