The female he is with now isn't ringed so I don't know anything about her yet. I was up there on 7th April and the osprey team didn't have any info about her then.
He mated with an unringed female last year on the same Manton bay nest so she may be the same bird. They will probably check photos to confirm. The female should be producing a second egg any time now and her third during this week.

Great news. A friend and I spent a couple of hours watching the pair on Saturday.We even got to look through the "watchers'" telescopes which was wonderful.Also amazing the numbers of willow warblers at Rutland Water. We spent ages locating and listening to them . A very tame yellowhammer was under the birdfeeder at Lyndon, which surprised us.
