Are gays no better than people who have it off with household pets (bear with me...!)
French politician Brigitte Bareges has caused outrage in France when she compared gay weddings to ‘unions with animals:

Now, I know those from the 'conservative end' of the political spectrum see gay equality as something to fight against (family values, traditional morals etc), but surely, equating a loving consensual relationship between two adults is a world away from...well, having it off with with a border collie!
Is this a common perception?

Do you find it equally aberrant if the same sex act was between male and female?

/// .and just in case I've confused anyone - highlighting homophobia is a world away from constantly raising questions in order to criticise minorities. ///
Well you have certainly confused me now.
Unless you are actually saying, it is perfectly ok for you to criticise persons who hold their own views on homosexuality, (to which you wrongfully attach the label homophobic), but it is totally wrong for others to criticise minorities.
Thinking about it though, you are always saying that any with anti-gay views for instance are in the minority, so therefore aren't you also guilty of 'criticising minorities'?

I've never berated anyone for having anti-gay views, even though I disagree with them. I have yet to hear any valid justification for those anti-gay views, though. The usual comments are:
'Sex is for procreation'. In that case, anyone with anti-gay views who has had sex more times than the amount of children they have, are hypocritical (not including fertility problems). Any anti-gays who have had oral sex are hypocritical. Any anti-gays who have had 'back-door' sex are hypocritical.
'It's not natural'. There are many animals who have gay sex, as well as humans. Mother NATURE created us all.
'The bible says it is wrong'. Any anti-gays who say this are also hypocritical if they masturbate, as the bible says that this is wrong also.
Anti-gay men might also want to think about the times that a lot of them fantasise about lesbians.
