Insect book
5 Answers
I am looking for an insect book for my seven year old son. He is bright (not just saying that) and has a quick mind so it has to be engaging to look at, with lots of detail but not like a text book. I don't really get any chance to browse book shops in peace at the moment or I would go and have a look myself. Thanks

Much of their content was probably largely 'above me' when I first got the books but I found them great works of reference and, as the years went by, I kept reading them to study the subjects in more detail. (I've still got several of them!)
Alas, they're no longer in print, but secondhand books are sometimes just as good as new ones. For £2.27 (including postage) you might like to consider this as a bonus book for your son:

Sher - a bit late with this, but if he (or any of your other kids) are interested in nature then I thoroughly recommend this. I grew up with it and I never had my nose out of it, especially after nature walks.
