Doing dinner tomorrow night for myself, my mother and OH's parents (OH working). It's the parents' first introduction.

3 meat eaters, 1 vegetarian.

or

4 fish lovers but 1 hates salmon.

I want to cook something impressive, but don't want to spend all day in the kitchen.

Would appreciate any suggestions.

There is a great 'all round' cookery book out that solves a lot of these problems; a bit late for your dinner party tonight, but handy to know for the future. It is written in a no nonsense way. I found this authors website, hope this helps: www.yvonnehume.co.uk
