the story that William Webb Ellis picked up a footie ball and ran with it and thus created that weird game doesn't really ring true with me. As far as I am aware of PE teachers, any of them worth their salt would have shouted 'Oi Webb Ellis put that bl88dy ball down and play the game properly'

And as for the town of Rugby, blink and then you will definitely miss it, which is a good thing. Take it from one who knows!
