I sold a car, buyer turned up made excuses, didn't buy it so I sold it elsewhere. Original buyer did not agree to my request to cancel the deal on ebay, result I am getting charged a final value fee even though the item was not sold on Ebay. How can I sort this out? Anyone have experience of this?

Yes, you can take it up with ebay. I once had something where I was not happy to pay a final fee though I can remember quite what it was all about. They agreed and gave me a credit.
Think you need to open a "case" ebay will sort it out- go to "resolution centre" x

I openned a case to cancel the transaction, buyer did not agree. There now appears to be no way forward.

It seems that a time waster can now turn up, kick the tyres and walk away, refuse to cancel the transaction and I have to pay a final value fee and I can't even give the peice of sh1te a negative review!
dont give up. contact ebay again. If they didnt buy it through ebay then how can ebay enforce your fee.
Yes .. just write a follow-up to eBay stating the facts .. that they turned up, etc, etc.
