So, police warned no travel between 2 pm and 9 pm - all schools are closed - offices are shut, roads flooded, buildings deemed in dangerous condition and streets are closed off, winds are horrendous- neighbours roof now on my path, trees down etc etc etc.
My neighbour has let her two kids 12 and 9 out to run about in school playground - Huge trees in playground, slate roof etc.
The girl is in shorts and a top and the 8 year old boy is dressed in a short frock and high heels!!!!
Is it just me????

2 short - I think is has been known. He apparently went into a neighbours house (without their knowledge) and came down wearing their 13 year old daughters party dress she had laid out for her own birthday party. His sister was caught looking up porn on the same neighbours computer needless to say also without their permission although they were aware she was in their house.

she is 12 now but this would have been a year or two ago - that neighbour has been told by police not to have anything to do with them either. I think getting dog poo thrown over their fence was kinda the clincher for an end to neighbourly relations. The police are aware and I understand that social services are involved too. However they lie through their teeth about anything and everything.

Although, having said that, my boss was telling me about a programme she watched that was about re-educating young teenagers about sex as they all had some weird ideas about what was "normal" as they were all watching a lot of soft porn. The boys were then encouraging the girls to do some pretty different stuff based on what they had been watching, some of these kids were about 13!

Would I let my kids go out in high winds - of course I would.
Would I let my kids go out in winds upwards of 130mph where roofs are being ripped off, trees are falling and debris is being scooped up and hurled through the air - No I would not. A lightweight kid in those conditions would be in real danger.

I agree Loftie - I am a not insubstantial grown woman, but even at 12 o'clock ish before the winds got going, i could feel myself being blown sideways on the path to the car park. A child could be blown into traffic or anything. They are all obviously mental - both cars are away from the house and police advise is not to travel at all until at least 9pm.
