What's the best way to fry sausages - whenever I attempt it they are never hot in the middle and I resort to putting them in the oven. Thanks.

We're both well thanks Sherrard. Little Tiggs has been a bit ill lately but I think that might be to do with his MMR jab at the end of June.

Sorry I can't be of much help with the sausage frying advice.

I don't think I could eat them deep fried any more Bummle. Far too much oil but they were nice back then.
I always do mine in the oven........
oops sorry didn't see about the knackered oven :-(
I was gna say slice them lengthways if u r havin trouble same as BOO x

Not having an oven or grill is proving a bit tricky, but the holiday was good!!

Sorry to hear baby Tiggs has been under the weather, they do sometimes seem out of sorts for a while and then bounce back. x
He's got a rash all over his body at the moment so I'm going to take him to the GP in the morning. I think its just heat rash but better to be safe than sorry :o(

Totally agree Tigger - and if you can't get an appointment, tell them you will go to A & E - works a treat!
Knowing my surgery (and my luck) they'll just say 'OK' if I said that to them. Lol
Sher, I have a halogen oven, only cost around £35 it's great, cooks so many things quickly and cheaply, including sausages, have a look at one, they take up little space and are so quick and easy to use!.....
Sher - your landlord is legally obliged to replace or repair your oven so get onto them ASAP!

In the meantime, you could boil the sausages for a bit first, then fry them gently?

Or buy a plug in slow cooker?
I bought a Tefal Actifry 6 months ago to fry my chips instead of deep fat fryer. I cook my sausages in it all the time they only take about 10mins, 15 to twenty if frozen and no need for any oil because they cook in their own fat, you should see the fat that is in the base of the fryer you will be shocked. and they are perfect when cooked..
We used a have a grill, like a George Foreman one, when wee cooked sausages on that we had to empty the thing three times because of all the fat, enough to put you right off!
parboil for 5 minutes then fry. Sounds odd but it really works and no chance of raw spots.
Buy an Tefal Actifry every one is evenly cooked in about 15 mins, No need for any oil they cook in own fat and you will not believe how much lard comes out of them. The paddle turns them over so no need to do it yourself. can also cook from frozen.
