I am looking for a new browser that is SMALL and uses very little system resources and it fast.

I have been using Avant because its supposedly tiny but i am finding many sites like youtube no longer support it.

I have tried firefx and IE and found they made the system sluggish.

I am using a mini laptop on winXP . its an Asus Eeepc 701SD

It only has 8GB, and a 32GB SD card

Any Ideas?

Thanks

ah...spoke too soon. k-meleon wont play youtube either... it sugests i install and 'modern' browser...

how do i find newer ones then.. because the ones i am downloading are the ones XP recommends...
Hi, joko, I too sometimes use K-melion and I have just tried to use youtube. It does warn you that you are using an outdated browser and youtube is not supported. However, if you ignore the warnings, you can still access youtube content

Is Chrome too much? - it uses less resources - give it a try?
I've read that most people change the RAM in EeePC's, like this: http://www.geek.com/a...ory-upgrade-20071231/

It may provide you with better performance and allow you to run something like Chrome a bit smoother.

I use Mobile Opera - it fits on a memory stick and takes up less than 100MB of space. Been using it for months and very satisfied. You can download it here: http://www.opera.com/mobile/
