HD TV

Hi,

I'm trying to set up HDTV for my father. I think I have probably done something wrong!

Just one question, do HD channels show up on the list of "gettable" channels regardless of a HD compatible box? Just need to know if we can get them, or if my set-up is wrong.

I suspect thousands of people have bought HD ready TVs thinking they are capable of receiving HD channels.

Why not see if you can return it to swap for the right one. They might do if you explain what happened.

I don't think my dad will really notice much VHG............freeview picture is good enough I think. It's just something he thought he wanted and thought he'd paid for. Thanks for your time everyone :-)
