What do you call that tune from tv shows?
Theres no lyrics and I think it might be a classical piece. You would here it on tv shows a lot. Its usually when someone is walking along thinking about doing something and the climax of the tune would be when they go for it. I'm trying to think of any examples but can't remember any. I think it was used on Curb Your Enthusiasm. It sort of goes. Da da da da da da da da da - dum dum. Da da da da da da da da da - dum dum. Da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da - dum dum. The end is a nice cresendo. I realise how mental I look expecting to get a correct answer to this by the way.

The piece I mean would have a comedic sort of feel to it. I'll set a scene for the piece I mean. Say a man is standing at the magazine rack, the first da da da he'll look at a newspaper looking around him, the next da da da, he'll look at a music magazine, still looking around and then the final da da da with the crescendo he''ll put the mag down grab a porno and run to the till. It's used on those kind of scenes.
When I read this question, a year and a half or so ago, the tune that popped into my mind was Divertissement - Pizzicato (from the ballet Sylvia) by Delibes. Unfortunately I didn't know what it was called and was unable to track it down. Today I was looking for royalty-free music to accompany a slideshow on our Wedding website when I came across it here: http://incompetech.co...enre=Classical&page=4 the site owner even says of it: "Everyone knows this piece (but nearly no one knows what it is called)". Anyway, YouTube link attached - I hope it's the right one!
