Since logging on today, about 30 minutes ago, the site keeps freezing and I've had to use 'recover page' about 4 times.
I'm using IE9 and it's only happening with this site............any ideas?

AB Towers servers are licenced for a set number of connections/sec, and when the number of user conections attempting to connect to AB at the same time is greater than the license conditions, then the server will start to queue the connecton requests until there is a space available to handle your PC's request to be served by this site. Yes craft, ever since this morning, recovering all the time. Assume it's the increased Q&P traffic?
I've been having problems off and on all week and back today again. I am using IE9 as well??

Right I'll email the techies again....................
IE9 has been freezing for me quite often so I swapped to chrome which seems to be working okay
Same here again crafty.
Question Author
I agree that it probably does work okay with Chrome cazzz, but as my preferred browser is IE I'd like it to work with that as well :-)
Question Author
I've sent an email so will just have to wait for a response................
Could be that AB has a compatibility problem with IE 9; which incidentally I have downloaded as a 'back-up' Browser.. However, I still prefer Firefox, although a lot AB Techie members are now opting for Google Chrome..which is another Browser that I dislike.

Ron I'm not bothered what people like and dislike...............IE is still the most used browser so sites should cater for it.
Fair point craft.

AB Towers servers are licenced for a set number of connections/sec, and when the number of user conections attempting to connect to AB at the same time is greater than the license conditions, then the server will start to queue the connecton requests until there is a space available to handle your PC's request to be served by this site. This will inevitably lead to delays in servicing individual user requests, and when the site is also dealing with the advert submissions to your PC, as affected by your browser settings, i.e your virus scanning software scans prior to displaying the advert/post, then the site will be displayed as "not responding".

Reset your IE browser setting to "Medium", and clear your cache - Problem explained - However, due to the increasing number of users on this site, at certain times of the week, this may be something the techies & Ed need to discuss, as only they can get the connection & session stats for the site.

Also, please note this usually occurs on weekend Mornings, maybe as more people want answers to the Q&P/Crossword sections???
Question Author
I've had a message from the Ed............the problem should be clear now.
That's very well put by Nibble :)
Question Author
Bugger it's just happened again......................3 times inside a couple of minutes.
