Bones in kippers
6 Answers
Does anyone know of an easy way to de-bone kippers? my family love them but they refuse to eat them due to the hair like bones, which i can never completely get out. I know a lot people just eat them, but we find they just put us off the fish

Not quite the same, but canned kippers, e.g. John West or Princes, are bone-free, I think they are removed enzymatically. Gorgeous with oodles of hot chilli sauce and white pepper.
