I have no time for the concepts of Facebook or Twitter, and would immagine that anyone who uses them would be subject to the same vagiaries as all other users - anyone can say what they want to whom they want.
That's fine if you accept it as a given, but to post personal information as a public figure and then take issue with the nonsense that follows smacks of attention-seeking naivity.
Since I perceive Mr Clarkson to be not at all naiive, althogh utterly attenion-seeking, I cannot believe that he is in any way surprised to find the level of vitrol that has poured into his computer.
Nonsense begats nonsense - but it does sell papers.
