Have u looked down the side of your sofa?
Go to your dealer...It'll probably cost around 80-100 for a new pair of keys recoded to your car.

Your main dealer should be able to arrange replacement keys as they are registered against the VIN number. Take your log book with you to prove ownership.

'Registered' keys have cost me around 20 - 25 at Jaguar and Volvo garages and I've been quoted 'about 30' for Mercedes. Expect Vauxhall to be a bit more expensive.

I asked my vauxhall dealer how much it would be for a new key to my car as i bought it used from them and only got one key with it. They said a new key would be 45, but a new key with the remote central locking button thingy would cost about 100!

I know, I was quoted 90 for 2 new Alfa keys, and 105 for 2 Nissan Van Keys!!

Kepla was Jammy with the prices quoted!!

But I wonder if they were central locking securtiy keys and how old are the cars Kepla's talking 'bout.

So Kepla replies: 'tis true they're not new. The Volvo is an '89 and the Jag a '93. Both have central locking, but not on a remote combined with a key. I did have a Zafira with the combined 'remote' keys and, despite all the problems with it, never had to buy a new key. I'll probably not look at a new car ever again - far too much of a disappointment, especially Vauxhall. Pretty clueless dealers, too. :-(
