woman down our road's got an orange VW Beetle.  If you saw it you would know why there aren't many orange cars.
It has to do with the color not rhyming with anything...

I bought an orange Reliant Kitten for �25 back in 1989. Had a mirrored back window and a crucifix glued to the dashboard!? I actually used to park it in the next road, and have a light coating of WD40 on the side windows to disguise me. Before you laugh, I sold it for �375 three weeks later.

heres one for you i have a metallic orange corsa and on the paperwork it says gold 
Fiat produced loads of orange cars in the 70s and 80s.   A lot of bikes have metallic orange paintwork
The new Focus ST is in orange.....
