Years ago in Australia, I took my four-year old neice to the Royal Adelaide Show. We watched a display of sheep-shearing & the little girl was quite fascinated.

When the first sheep was released minus its fleece, she loudly announced "So that's how they make pigs!"

I still have a chuckle about it.

Well of course your niece is correct, sheep are just woolley pigs, aren't they ?
those wooly pigs are great!
We'd left my daughter who was about 2 at the time, watching an programme about cows and pigs giving birth (it was a children's programme) and were talking to neighbours outside. She came running out and shouted 'mummy were you a cow or a pig?'
Many moons ago, my cousin was taken on a bus journey into deepest rural Lanarkshire, having never been outside Glasgow, and asked when he saw haystacks where the pygmies were.
