Does anyone know where I can get a fat fryer that is not electric? Just a saucepan type with basket inside - everywhere seems to just sell electric. I found one at John Lewis that was 45 but would like one a bit cheaper if possible, perhaps online? - I have also asked this question in Home & Garden by the way, thanks everyone :)

DONT BUY A FAT FRYER.

MORE FIRES ARE CAUSE BY FAT FRIERS THAN ANY OTHER ITEM.

You can buy frozen chops, Home Fries, that cook in the oven.

They are safer, and more healthy than cooking chips in fat.

Argos. Catalogue No: 860/5036. 9.99

Firstly ignore vehelpfulguy. He doesnt seem to have grasped your question, maybe he's a jumped up nutritionalist in the wrong thread. Else he's had a relative die in a kitchen accident and has a chip on his shoulder...

A non-electric fat fryer doesnt consist of anything: You just heat the oil in a saucepan or wok and fish the food out with a basket, spider, sieve, slotted spoon etc. Chuck the food in a bowl lined with kitchen roll to absorb the excess fat. You dont have to spend a penny.
