The ref from the World Cup on that other ad, wow,
Orson Welles
- from Citizen Kane to beer adverts!

sherry wasnt it ?but he wouldve been paid millions for it.

He did the sherry one as well as Carlsberg and Perrier.
The world-wide repeat fees for one piece of work mean that no actor regards TV ads as a 'come down'. 90% of the acting profession are 'resting' at any one time and would give teir eye teeth for work like this.

fair point andy - i suppose i didn't really mean 'come down' as such, and certainly didn't mean to imply there was any any shame in it, just must be hard when you are used to better things, particularly something as big as hellraiser.(mind you i can't think of anything else he has done since that anyway)

I work in the industry, on the other side, but i know how work is work and any is welcome, and i myself have experienced a couple of big films and then done some absolute garbage, and inevitable felt a bit let down.

i wonder if the fact that even half the crew didn't recognise him at the wrap party as they'd only ever seen him in full makeup, meant that many others had no idea who he was either?

If Dot is refering to Pierluigi Colina I would have thought it was a step up from refereeing in money terms not a comedown. He will probably make more from that advert than all his refereeing fees put together, having said that the guy is a financial advisor, so it will be well invested.
