I have an 88 honda civic with a 1.5L four banger (a whoppin 70 horsepower). I wanna put a cold air intake sytem on it but I dont really know what kind of a difference it would make. How much would it increase my horsepower? Would I be able to tell the difference? If anyone knows that would be great.

Sadly I would not expect any meaningful improvment with this mod on its own. The principal that colder air is denser, and therefore produces a bigger bang and therefore more power, when mixed with fuel and ignited ir valid enough, but on its own it wont produce much extra power.

I have fitted a Pipercross Induction kit to my 1.6 Ford Ka and it makes a massive difference!!! you find you will not have to push the peddle too much at low revs to get the car moving, and when you floor it you get an amazing roar from the car which is quite satisfying :-) it also gives you a some more power on motorway driving. Expect an increace of around 6-10Bhp.

Anyway hope this helps, and i highly reccomend Pipercross over K&N. Nick

A cold air intake improves the workings of your engine. It makes sure that your car performs better and there is more torque.
