The unfortunate result is to think that every girl thinks you are irresistible. Sad for them, sadder still for the young unfortunates, male and female, who fell prey to the shadow of celebrity. Let's hope that Jimmy Tarbuck comes up clean....
if you are a child and an adult abused you, would you report it, or even know what to say to a parent or someone else, and even if you had and weren't believed, and many children are not sadly, then one can see why many didn't say anything. some have come forward now because one perhaps two now grown women have come forward, or grown men for that matter, as in the case of these despicable boys homes - large scale abuse by those they trusted, it's a very hard thing for a child to deal with on any level. Some of these may have been rather starry eyed teens, but i reckon the culture at the time played a large part in the cover up..
We don't know they didn't report it when it happened.
We do know that the BBC and police are guilty of cover ups.
Sexual abuse used to covered up and ignored. That is a fact.
I was abused as a child and I didn't tell anyone. It's embarrassing and shameful.
And for those who say they can barely remember yesterday, let alone 40 years ago, I can recollect every single second of my abuse. It's not something that ever leaves you.
