Your employer is required to carry out a risk assessment once they know you are pregnant, this will look to limit your exposure to potentially harmful environments. You should recieve a copy of the assessment.

I told him, he congratulated me and was great. I thought it was best in case I have serious morning sickness and need to be off work. I feel fine at the moment, the weather has exhausted me though as the wards are scorching hot!
