The Towers are open for members this evening. As we are celebrating Queenie's birthday today, we will not be in attendance, but we have left a delicious supper for everyone in the dining room and the bar has been well stocked and we have large pitchers of "Birthday Tailcock" for all to enjoy. The Minstrels will be in the gallery and the Tone Deafs are again playing on the small stage down by the beach - a refreshment tent is available down there also. All the usual amusements and entertainments are available for members.
Would members please note that next Saturday's meeting will be the Christmas in July Ball an event to which all members are cordially invited, (please note we have a fancy dress pantomime theme so choose your favourite panto character and dress accordingly!)
Igor is still experiencing some computer trouble so will not be around to assist our members this evening. We'll be having a man in soon to fix his problem and hopefully he will be able to return to his duties next time.
So please feel free to make use of the facilities at the Towers and have a pleasant evening. If we are unable to return before this meeting ends will the last member to leave please turn off the lights and leave the key under the mat.
Thank you.

Interesting to say the least ..... Queenie and her beau have decided to be "friends" and not bf/gf! She's as happy as a sandboy it seems.
I think she's had a nice day though, she liked her pressies, we got her a kindle just an ordinary one, (she's been wanting one for a while) and I also got her a Big Bang Theory T-shirt with the lyrics to Soft Kitty Warm Kitty on it (afficianados of the show will understand I hope) and we'd a lovely lunch out too at a restaurant we'd never been to before very tasty - and that was just the burger!!
Seems like you guys have sorted out the ball for next week - well done!
I really wanted to be the wicked witch/stepmother (though I have the looks for an ugly sister) Should be fun!
We did our best. Not sure others will agree.
Agree with Daisy.
I'm a 'Big Bang Theory' Fan as well nungate, so yes I understand lol.
Sounds like a good day was had then, nungate.

Definitely, a nice leisurely start to our day and we just went slow after that, worked well for me and Queenie seemed to enjoy her day. Of course we had the usual countdown to 12.40 pm the exact time of her "debut" she maintains her birthday doesn't start until then. She's the same about mine except it doesn't work out too well for me as I was born at twenty to midnight (there's some symmetry there between us) So according to her system I only have a 20 minute birthday!
No nungate, you have to have the full 24 hours.

Maybe you should tell her, mind you a few years back on her birthday I maintained that on a child's birthday the Mum ought to have a present, after all Mums do all the hard work (not called labour for nothing) anyway she took it to heart and somehow inveigled her dad into giving her the money to buy me a present - a Digital SLR Nikon camera - I was hoping for flowers or choccies! Not complaining though I love my big camera, have couple of the small ones and a couple of SLR film ones but .... struck lucky that time! (hasn't happened since, I suppose lightning doesn't strike twice after all!)
