Hi all, did anybody watch this last night? The couple put a closed bid in for a place just outside Leicester for 600,000. The guide price was 450,000. It looked a right old wreck as well but lots of potential. Anyway, they won with that bid, however a fortnight later they received a letter from the Estate agents which wasn't meant for them (meant for the seller) and listed all of the bids received. Their bid was 120,000 more than the next highest bid. Needless to say the couple tried unsuccesfully to renogotiate and pulled out of the deal. What a monumental mess up caused by an innocent mistake like putting a letter in the wrong envelope costing the vendor the best part of 150k

For what it's worth, I thought that they were quite a sweet couple and I'm glad it worked out for them.
I wonder what happened to the poor estate agents' tea boy/girl who actually put the letter in the wrong envelope. I guess not an estate agent any more!...
Well with a name like Hereford what do you expect - and her's was 'P J'. I ask you. Anyway they had more money than sense obviously. I think they could make a programme about what happened to the estate agent who put the letters in the wrong envelopes ... uh oh ..... I expect he's looking for a new job.
