I've 'lost' the toolbar in Word. Could someone please help me to get it back. I'm on xp home.

I don't quite understand but perhaps clicking on View and then Toolbars and choosing which toolbar you want back....Alternatively try and Restore your Computer to an earlier time Using System Restore.

When I open word, there is nothing, no bars across the screen just a sheet of 'paper' , you can type a letter but there is no tools ie spell check, print ect.

Maybe I've another problem, I've tried restore, and it will not allow

Chris, is there an 'x' in a little box in the corner? If there is, click on it. Maybe somehow you've managed to get Word 'stuck' in print preview mode (if that's even possible).

Alternatively, if nothing else works, you could reinstall the program (if you haven't got it, I'm sure a friend of yours has a disk with it on).
