Ok my question comes in two parts
I'm a guy. My best friend is a lesbian. I am fine with that.
I've just come out of a torrid relationship, where my friend has been a rock for me.
Over the last couple of weeks, I have noticed that my feeling for my friend have changed somewhat. (Got stronger). I'm wondering if I'm really wanting something more, even tho I know that's so not gonna happen. Or is it that I am relying on her to be my rock even more.
Should I tell her how I feel and risk the friendship.
Part 2.
She has a girlfriend. Sometimes she ( the gf) can be nice as pie towards me and other times she can be a tad stand off ish.
I noticed recently that if we are all out together age will be all over my friend like a rash. Particularly if I'm near by
Is she showing genuine signs of affection or can she sence my feelings and just marking her teratory.
Thanks

I see little point in burdening your friend over your feelings that will not be reciprocated . It's fair enough to develop feeling for someone who has been there for you, but as you admit, it won't go anywhere. Maybe, as you suspect, her girlfriend has detected your interest and is claiming your friend, as it were, as her own. I'm unsure the reason for it is important though. If you socialise with them occasionally ensure it stays friendly and try not to concentrate so much on your friend that her girlfriend feels you are competing. And ensure you socialise with others too as then I suspect you have a better chance of meeting someone suitable. Not so easy if you are playing gooseberry to another couple.
