How do I find out which of my contributions have been removed and, much more importantly, why?

I know this type of question has been asked before but I haven't seen a definitive answer. I don't recall being offensive (intentionally or unintentionally) so am a little bemused that I've had two answers removed.

Go to "My Profile", then "threads I'm involved in" and you can see which answers have been removed. There is a pink box above it that states that it has been removed. :)

I had one removed just a few days ago and trawled through my answers and nothing came up.I realise it might not have been me and my answer was removed as leaving it puts the post off kilter as you appear to be answering to a non existent answer which had been reported and removed.
Big Mac, you won't find out exactly why they get banned or removed. If you ask, you will probably be told that it was in contravention of Site Rules. A bit vague, eh?
Question Author

{Dakota} - thanks for the suggestion, but only one star 'cause although I have been back through every thread in which I've been involved since joining, there are no pink boxes to be seen.

AB Editor - can you let me know where I can at least see those of my contributions that have been removed, so I can try and work out why?

Thanks in advance

Hi BigMac

Most removed posts are "duplicates", meaning that the original Q is still on the site - unfortunately the counter still counts it...If your particular post has been removed, you will still see it in your Profile, but not on the site. If, as Drisgirl mentions, you can't see your removed post, then the entire thread was removed, so you did not necessarily contravene the Site Rules. Most removed posts are not offensive, btw. And those that are, it is for pretty obvious reasons - profanity/personal attacks/racist remarks etc.
