So, is it your normal roast or are you warming a tin of soup in your bunker?

It's lamb, but it is getting rather windy here................
I've had yesterdays leftovers of Thai green chicken curry and jasmine rice.
Lovely sunshine in Leicestershire but very gusty wind. Just looking out some candles and torches in case of a power cut in the night :(
Thanks for reminding me......I need to go and sort my bins out before they fly down the road.

We appear to have a Half Shoulder of Lamb ready to stick in the oven, or on the primus, whatever's right at the time.

It's windy in Berks too, I thought the North wasn't going to be too affected.....

It is getting a bit worrying here and the storm hasn't properly arrived yet.....I do at least have a garden tidied of flyaway stuff and a fridge/freezer/cupboard stuffed full.

Having said that I remember eating a lot of ice cream in 1987 because of the power cuts.......

Oh and we're having roast belly pork, braised leeks, broccoli, maybe some baked onions or stir fried greens, roast spuds and cider gravy. For some bizarre reason Yorkshire pud has just popped into my mind but we only ever have Yorkies with beef........should I buck the trend????
I've raked out my ginormous torch, and if it starts to get really bad I'll make a big flask of coffee.
Snap Baldric the good wife is doing a lamb roast right now. I've already poured you a glass of red wine.
lol Eccles I have Yorkshires with every roast..........
something with Friday's leftover roast chicken eccles, haven't worked out what yet
I am going to make a really nice beef casserole, with a bottle of Guinness in it, roast potatoes and parsnips, and asparagus. All washed down with a large glass of Lidls Pinotage ( 14.5 % and only £3.99 ! )
Question Author
Risotto perhaps Humber?

Mikey, let us know how the Pinotage goes down, that is an incredible price. But please go a whip yourself for eating asparagus out of season......not to mention there hasn't been a frost to sweeten up your parsnips.....
I'm doing roast chicken but with mushroom whiskey sauce instead of gravy.

Still lovely and sunny here...
Overcast and very blustery but think we are due to escape the worst.

Haddock Mornay, new pots and a veg medley of sorts.
I have meat pie left over from yesterday, and OH is away, so that's me sorted.

If only it were sunny here. I'm looking out at all of the trees in the garden and counting how many of them are within range of the house should they topple........I'm about to take my socks off to complete the count........... :-(
Paella today I believe, love it!!
