I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask but I'm sure someone will know the answer to my question, which is this - Is the correct spelling Maintainance or Maintenance? Cheers!

Every time we went past it, my dad would point out the painted hotel sign that said ACCOMADATION
I'd go in and tell them, grassy. That would drive me up the wall every time I saw it.
aCCoMModation................. two cots and two mattresses. That's how I remember that one.
A friend of mine walks round obliterating unnecessary apostrophes from chalk boards outside shop.
..or shops
I would but I dont think they would care Tilly, let alone change it. I also dont like signs that say Potatoe's!

Outside a butchers' shop, a notice:

Untied we stand

presumably if you tied their legs together or something they would fall down.

Grrr, that ghastly woman on Cash in the Attic at the moment persists in calling it

JOOLERY

AArgh!
Two of my favourites from way back:

A butcher handing out blotters to his customers in December - We hope to meat you in the coming year.

A shop changing to new premises put up a notice:

This stationery shop is moving.

I'd go with 'TEN'
