Falconry Day

I'm going today for my falconry flying experience int Yorkshire Dales....what a thoughtful daughter I have.

Had a brilliant day. We flew an Indian eagle owl which is 'king huge. Then a harris hawk which is one of the most intelligent birds of prey; they hunt in flocks in the wild. Broke for lunch, then it was the turn of the golden eagle which is like a hang glider zooming about, & it made your arm ache when it was on the glove. Then it was onto a walk with a harris hawk to see if we could get some rabbits. This was cut short by the heavy rain & we can go again for free to complete our day. The trip was finished off perfectly when a hen harrier flew over:-)
