You are not going to find much in the way of true facts of statistics because no real scientific study has ever been done of a correlation between safety and speed. The whole thing is a propoganda myth proliferated by the government as a way of justifying enormous amounts of fund-raising from motorists by treating very trivial misdemeanours as if they were serious crimes.
