joggerjayne are they your locals?
Amongst others.

I probably have fifty pubs within ten minutes walk of where I live, so there's a fairly wide choice of locals.
In Sheffield, used to enjoy Stones pubs though, thanks to the capacity of an old mate, can't remember the names of any.
The Thatch, Croyde
A Scot, an Englishman and an Irishman were sitting in a pub discussing the best pubs around.

The Englishman says, ''There's a pub in Chiswick, on the Thames, where the landlord buys you a drink for every that you buy.''

The Scot is not impressed and says, ''That's nothing! In the Highlands, near Lochinver, every time you buy a drink the landlord buys you five.'' At this point the Englishman is fairly impressed.

The Irishman, totally unimpressed, says ''That's nothing. In Dublin there's this pub, The Liffey Star, where the landlord buys your drinks all night, and then when the bar shuts he takes you up into a room and someone makes love to you.''

The Scot and Englishman are well impressed and ask if the Irishman goes there a lot.

He replies ''No, but my sister told me about it.''
Has to be 'The Fat Cat', Norwich ! It's like a Beer Museum.....

Followed by 'The Wellington', Birmingham
'Ship & Mitre, Liverpool.

I could name several others, but these will do for now ! :-))
The Swan and Rushes in Leicester is pretty good. Tons of beers. It is a bit grotty though.

And I can recommend the Three Horseshoes in Madingley - superb food and a decent selection of US craft beer, if you're into that.
Also, 57 Thomas Street in Manchester. Good nibbles, great beers: http://www.marblebeers.com/57thomas-street/

There's also the Porter House in Manchester... somewhere... They've got some very nice beers, but it's all imported so can be a bit pricey for an all night spot.
The Volunteer, Northampton :-)

It's probably the only pub, besides Weatherspoons, that's actually busy.
This is one of my favourites;
