I've got the central down unclued answer, but I'm completely lost as to the rest!!
Please could someone help me with 1 down: God who destroys trees (4) _ I _ _
and 25 down: Mist over second opening to unusual Cornish tunnel (5)
The wordplay in these gives an extra letter.
Thanks in advance

Hi.
2 down is a thematic answer. The thematic letter is missing from genus of trees to give a destroyer.
25 down is normal clue with an extra letter. Mist gives a very common 3 letter word, then short word for a second (first letter of this is the extra one) plus start to unusal. Tunnel is the definition

Thank you Geoff.T

Hi again
Any luck yet?

Hi Geoff.T
Did you mean 1D? I definitely have 1D as my thematic answer. The spare letter from 2D is the first letter of the "further location". As a fan of the performers of the entertainment and an original protester back in the day I enjoyed this one!
Just by the way. C-cum-H is now open again as part of Manchester's Metrolink tram network. But not the the original building, sadly.
