I subscribed to Which magazine about 6 months ago and they have always been banging on about how good Aldi is. As a regular Waitrose customer I took the plunge and went into Aldi. My god !!.... full of smack heads... wine/champagne absolute rubbish.. I shall be cancelling my Which subscription pronto !!! Does anyone feel the same way or do we still have to endure this crap from Germany (I think - actually I don't give a toss where its from) .

Waitrose eh? Did you wear a suitable disguise to go to Aldi? You wouldn't have wanted anyone to see you in there, surely? ;-)

Beginning to wonder if savlok is someone else in disguise! I shop all over the place - except Wait rose as we don' t have one. I do go early sometimes, Jeza, after I've dropped Mr roo off but I have to wait 10 minutes til they open and it makes me look desperate!
Aldi sell a couple of Australian wines which a wine buff whom I know said he would pay £30 a bottle for. I didn't tell him I got change from a fiver for each one.
And I'm not going to identify the wines or they will be sold out next time I visit.
I think you'll find, Atlanta, that you 'have' to.
Aldi chilli flavour tortilla chips, for example, are far superior to Walkers, and, needless to say, much cheaper.
Okay....someone sit on Atlanta....tickle the feet and I'll ask for the name of the wine....☺
wow... waitrose is full of Smackheads..... who'd a thunk it

Rather an insulting broadbrush description of Aldi/Lidl. Their products are very good and exceptional value for money .... you do realise you don't have to lower the tone of the Adli/lidl chain by shopping there don't you???
Not ticklish. Having had two pestiferous brothers when I was young, I cured myself of ticklishness. Had to.
You'll just have to try all their Australian wines and see for yourself. Not a hardship, I imagine.
My nearest supermarket is Waitrose so I shop there on a regular basis. However, I go to a small Sainsbury's in the same town to buy basics such as loo rolls, cleaning products, yogurt and any other cheapo range. I also go to Aldi/Lidl 10 miles away to stock up on things which I know are miles cheaper there for similar/identical products. each to his own time management.
