It appears that this loud-mouth has put both feet in it again. She said this about the Gaza dead :::: "at least the ones that were killed were the ones with very low IQs"

Thanks for that Slaney, on the basis of viewing that, what she said was 100% unacceptable.

Well mikey I did'nt enjoy the luxury in my career of sitting on my backside in some office toying with a keyboard on a type writer or attending business/committee meetings or enjoying the 9-5 comfort of some insurance clerk.I actually had to go out and see and deal with the real world.Sometimes my hands got dirty, not with newspaper print, and sometimes with blood. So I hope you will excuse my apparent non skill around a keyboard. Strange that no other ABers whinge about my lack of keyboard skills.Go to specsavers if you can't read what I write.Others have no problem.

I am not whingeing retro, just pointing out that your posts, while always interesting, would read more easily.

You have got completely the wrong end of the stick. Any journalism and writing I have done in the past was done very much in my spare time. I was an Engineer for most of my adult life and I certainly got oil on my hands, a lubricant called Oil Dag, which stained and was next to impossible to remove from clothing and skin. My employer stopped using it because it was found to carcinogenic. But none of my bits have fallen off yet !
Rivers is 81,she isn't going to get any better. She has a history of insensitive and offensive comments behind her, many very recent. She is always reluctant to apologise in these instances. One thing to be 'comical' another to be arrogant...

I did'nt post at 1020 today and I don't have a daughter. Please, once again, don't keep jumping in without knowledge of the facts. I repeat you must learn to read other posts THOROUGHLY. I did'nt castigate you at 1026,however, but I stated that if anyone seems to disagree with your opinion or slant on a subject then ABers are always wrong in your eyes. It would seem I was not alone in thinking this. You pretty much said that you could'nt see why other ABers did'nt think as you do on this particular post.Did you not?

I think she went far beyond arrogant agchristie. She was highly offensive, and could easily be accused of being rabble-rousing and inflammatory in her outburst at the airport. Like every other comedian, she thinks she has to be funny all the time. In all case, some of the time might be an improvement.

I learned a little about Saint Robin Williams yesterday. He was asked by a German journalist, in a live news Conference once, why he thought that Germany was supposed to lack a sense of humour.

He replied "because you killed all the funny people"

Brave or stupid....I can't make my mind up !
Question Author
Missed out "grand" retro...sorry !
Well you can't fault his timing or quick riposte can you?Apology accepted mikey.
Think I'll leave this post now.

I like it.

I will admit that I like a bit as well Roy, but it would be a controversial remark to make. After all, the German asking the question could hardly be held responsible for the Holocaust could he ? It sounds a bit Bernard Manning to me.
It really is amazing that this gaza conflict has brought to the surface many peoples evil and spiteful natures. By what i've read on the net it appears that many shouldn't be on the net but should be in a war cabinet somewhere orchestrating and coordinating soldiers attacking other human beings instead!
What was even more amazing was by some peoples response that "This is what happens when you fire rockets into a country, you get your ass kicked" and other similar comments which shocked me.

Didn't osama blame 9/11 on gaza? Aren't many terrorist attacks blamed on gaza? Does this mean we should just sit back and relax saying well this is the down ride of the "tit for tat rollercoaster" with thousands of innocents being caught up in this war that the majority of humans don't want or need and we'll be giggling feverishly and rubbing our hands in glee when the up ride of the "Tit for tat rollercoaster" comes around and "We" have our time when thousands of innocents on the "other side" are slaughtered in revenge?

Is this what we have come to as human beings? Happy for murder as long as our greedy and thirsty murderous and spiteful nature is quenched?

Wow, just wow.
fwiw,

someone has tampered with the video (or was clumsy with their editing software) and the crucial words, "with low IQ" have no sound (but you don't have to be a lip reader to pick up the words…

Okay, so she was trying to get to her taxi and got pestered by a journalist. She tried the Hiroshima reference first but the journo kept poking to grt the (required?) objectionable response. In that situation I would probably try to give them what they wanted to make them go away.

I find her comments that "these people" should "get out of the way" quite revealing and disturbing.

She then makes the leao of logic that not getting out of the way signifies stupidity. To intensify the message and avoid repetition, she changes one token to another and it comes out as "low IQ". Like this makes their deaths somehow "okay"! ff'ss

I don't think even she realised, at that point, the link back to repellant ideas, such as eugenics. The USA also perpetrated sterilisation programmes, in the 1930s. With all the media obsession with good looks and physical fitness, you'd be forgiven for thinking that these ideas haven't dropped dead yet.

Unlike… erm, better stop there.

She is a thoroughly nasty piece of work Hypognosis, and I am glad that people now realise it.
@mikey

probably the only living creature to have availed themselves of the services of a taxidermist, judging by the photo here…

She is in a coma.

Now she knows how her audience feels.
And that Gromit, does show poor taste....
She's not a nasty piece of work, that is just the opinion of some, neither does she leave her audiences in a coma, also just the opinion of some. You all talk as though she is the only person in the world who thinks what is going on Gaza is justifiable - when clearly she isn't. I said earlier, she's not a politician and she's 81. Why does it matter what she says.
