Fil Update

After trying to track down his estranged dad this week (after discovering FIL had dementia) a social worker rang today to let himself know that his dad had died in July :(

Himself is 'not himself' - don't know how else to put it. Every family is different, feel so bad for himself, very conflicting.

Haven't spoken to you before,but i'd seen your previous thread (my mother had dementia,so i'd "noticed"your question in particular). Am so sorry to hear of this awful outcome. The shock to "himself" must be numbing. Hope you can both get through this awful time x

Thank you bunkmoreland, he was on such a high after his hospital visit on Thursday - really knocked him for six.

well, what can you do sherr,? not much, except support him. if he talks you can listen, if he's silent you let him be .
