v-e; I ignored your specious question (both extremes being abhorrent )when you first posed it, but as you have re-iterated, I ask you to look at history for an answer; In the first half of the 1930's the 'far right' National Socialists, were not only the greatest threat to 'civil society' (though ironically they pretended to be to the left!) but continued to carry out the greatest disastrous attack on it in modern world history.
"The mediaeval cultural attitudes of some Muslims", is by comparison, very small beer, particularly when also compared to the bombing of Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Viet Nam and Laos by, shall we say, rather rightward leaning American administrations.

Khandro, forgive me, but I think I know about Nazism (and some of its philosophical origins, and, indeed, of some of its more recent friends - as they say in the financial forums: DYOR). I said "...threat to today's Britain".
You don't know my attitudes to Indo-China and Hiroshima. Neither are either of those things relevant.

V_E, the answer to your question, although ignored by those consumed with indignation at the actions of the BNP/EDL, has already been touched upon. The most right wing group in this country today is radical Islam. Its philosophy is ‘our way or no way’ – and, given the opportunity, that diktat would be applied to all who aren’t numbered among its adherents, regardless of nationality, colour, or creed. Therein lies the greatest danger to the world’s societies, not least that of today’s Britain. By comparison the rest are insignificant small fry.

As for the Smith/Savile comments that's an entirely different case. They were not tackled as a result of their celebrity status. The gang at Rotherham were not tackled simply because of their skin colour/ethnicity/religion by those responsible to do so for fear of being branded racist by the PC, bed-wetting foil hatters that have pervaded society in the last 20 years.

Immigration has risen more than intended because the flood gates from eastern Europe have been forced open by the EU - not because the government is failing to improve upon Labour's disastrous immigration record. Let us not pretend otherwise - however much you want to.
