Power shower plumbing
One for a plumber...
Does an integrated power shower (ie, one that has the pump in the wall-mounted unit) need a dedicated feed from the cold tank and the HW tank (with flange) like a power shower with a separate pump does?

If the 'system' is the same, (ie. a gravity fed pumping/mixing system) Then you should equal the pressure of both feeds. The location of the pump in relation to the shower head makes no difference.
Hope that was of some help. MM
Thanks for the repy, Mudman.
My hot and cold feeds are equal, currently, but power showers demand a lot of water. If the pump pumps faster than water can be supplied then the pump gets air bubbles in it (cavitation) and soon dies. That's why separate pumps demand additional, dedicated connections to the cold tank and HW cistern. Additionally the HW connection needs a Surrey or Essex flange to suck water faster.
Where my knowledge runs out is if this setup is necessary for a lower powered pump as found in an "all in one" power shower.
