I don't understand the previous reply or what it refers to. Is this a wind-up? If the missing clue is from the �1000 crossword, it is as follows:

21d - An official document attesting the truth of facts relating to birth, marital status, qualifications etc. and the answer is certificate. Hope this helps.

with so many clues about furniture, This missing clue could be What No 1 down are made of as TREES fits in. They will perhaps put it in tomorrow's mail don't usually get it on a Monday
