Sad news for these beautiful birds. I hope they are found alive and well, but it really isn't looking good.

I do hope they are found safe.

At the least, I hope they find the transmitters, so they know what happened to them. That's what happened to this year's missing osprey - someone found the transmitter where the bird had died.

Indeed boxtops. At least if they find the remains it may help to learn what happened to them and aid in putting measures in place to protect other fledglings in the area.
