Could we, the AB viewers, put together the perfect TV 'tec?
He needs to drive an unusual car. Bergerac, Morse, and Inspector Lindley all had nice motors. Even Colombo drove something out of the ordinary.
They need to be a thorn in the side of their superiors and a drink problem isn't out of the question.
What other foibles would they need?

A couple of other officers arrived - the police shouted 'come out or we will release the dogs' - the two new doggy officers chucked in a few barks. The bad guys exited the car in seconds.
So Shoota we don't need guns, we need big hairy Germans (GSD).
