I need to transplant some fruit bushes on my allotment..When is the best time to do this an do they need pruning??

Asap. Not sure about the pruning, I'd Google it
Prune in March (after frost), but move now as soil is soft.

I'd say rely on the local advice, but... here in the U.S., we'd transplant in the spring and I'd prune dead or crossing branches.
Yes, They should be dormant by now and therefore its a good time to transplanting.
Any time between November to March, whether its your raspberries or currants, as long as there is no sign of frost.

Pruning can be done at the same time.
