Vascular Pain

I have been having problems with my legs for some time. My job entails my standing for a period of up to eight hours at a time. I was referred to a Vascular surgeon who suggested injections at a cost which I could not afford. I do not have varicose veins but the pain in my legs is causing me much distress.

I must apologise as I feel that I am going to be of little help, as i am confused at the outset.

Injections are indicated for the relief of pain associated with varicose veins and if you say that they do not exist.....then i am at a loss.

One can get pain from the arterial side, but it is not the pain that you describe......it is the pain on walking (intermittent claudication) and injections play little or no part in this condition.

Again, I will not be much help but surely if you have leg pain and you have to stand for 8 hours a day, then your employer should alter your job so that you can sit down?! You might be able to get rid of your pain without surgery or treatment if you were allowed to sit down as and when you needed to. 8 hours seems excessive to me, and even more so if you are in pain.
