Having said that, have you checked your blood pressure lately or are you taking aspirin for other purposes? Hig blood pressure and blood thinning by aspirin can contribute to nose bleeds. Additionally, if you're taking herbal supplements, especially ones with niacin, be aware they can cause nosebleeds as well. The length of time of the episodes you describe is troubling, so get it looked at!
i know this doesn't really help, but when you've got a nosebleed and it goes everywhere try getting two big bits of tissue, twisting them and shoving them up your nostrils. They're really good at collecting the blood without it going everywhere. (Trust me, i did it - even though i looked like a walrus lol) :)
you may need a small vein caughterised (can't spell it) my daughter had nose bleeds all the time day and night everyday, she had it done at local E.N.T only took 5 mins, there are so many small veins up there sometimes there rupture just from sneezing or blowing your nose then they stay weak and keep rebursting, apparently its quite common, she only had a couple of bleeds after the treatment for the next few days then none since that was 3 years ago, your doc can refer you, she said treatment felt like she wanted to sneeze but wasn't at all painfull, and she did sneeze lots afterwards. good luck let us no what doc says.
Hi bellasasha Sorry to hear your having such a tough time with nose bleeds, but it really isn't a good idea to stick tissues up your nose, because that just means it goes back down your throat, and contributes to you being physically sick, best to actually put your head slightly down, or use the knuckles or thumbs to gently pinch your nostrils until the bleeding subsides, I guess cauterization seems your best option, it is quick and painless, and has a good success rate, see your doctor, because the frequency and duration of your nose bleeds in my opinion points to a small rupture in the nasal lining membrane. Hope it is solved soon. Take care. Erm
