Dad's Birthday Today
42 Answers
Last November, I was told he was at end of life stage. He was sent back to his care home with all medication withdrawn except for painkillers and antidepressants.
Today was his 84th. birthday. We took him to the local Beefeater, his treat. He ate garlic bread, steak, chips and salad and an apple crumble and drank 2 pints of London Pride. He was laughing and joking and we had a really nice time. He was back to being my lovely Dad again.
I think he might be on the road to recovery.:-)

I must admit that brought a tear to my eye, when I read your post last night, as it started my thinking of my own dear old Dad, who sadly passed in 206.
So I say cherish the times you have together now.
I think the liver suggestion was great, I'd have it with bacon, mash, peas and onion gravy, oh and I'd give the tripe the elbow, or better still give it to the dog.
Take care.....Chip.
